Rajan Rajendran

Rajan Rajendran is an independent consultant after having retired from Copeland as its global vice president for environmental sustainability. He worked at Emerson/Copeland for nearly 34 years since 1990 in various capacities and was the founder-director of the Helix, Copeland’s research and innovation center located on the University of Dayton’s campus.

He currently serves as a co-chair of the Refrigeration, Air-conditioning and Heat Pumps Technical Options Committee (RTOC) and is a member of the Technical and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP); he also serves on boards of some universities and consortiums.

Rajan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Madras and his master’s and doctorate degrees in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University; he also has an M.B.A. in finance from Wright State University.
